Funny Moments

I was busy doing laundry & had put Maddie's dressups on the sink so I would have room to fold the other clothes. When I came out from folding, I saw this....... Oreo can sleep anywhere!
"You lookin' at me?"

Last Sunday we got to spend time with our good friends Kristy & Matt. So we took the kids to IHOP for brunch. Matt gets the genius idea to let the kids order the "monster" ice cream sunday. This had 20 scoops of ice cream!

Maddie couldn't wait to dive in!

Look - the almost finished it! HOLY COW!!

Dave was over at our house with his Viper. JJ wanted to try it out. He looks good in it.

But the funny thing to watch was him get in & try to shut the door. Considering his head sticks out above the windsheild - I don't think JJ will be getting this car. Now, I wish I had a picture of him trying to get out of the car.......

Dinorsaur Museum Part 2

Ok, so blogger won't let me move pictures around anymore. (Anyone know how to fix this, please let me know) So I had to do this in 2 parts.....

Standing in front of 2 T rex's

Cute little guy, no we're not bring him home - we have a dog
as big as a dinosaur.

In front of Triceratops... I told her this was my favorite dinosaur
because it was named after me. So we had to look for a "Maddie-saurs"
didn't find one though....

Dinosaur Museum

Yesterday Maddie & I went to the dinosaur mueseum at Thanksgiving Point. I had promised her we would go while she was off track but since she was in the hospital (pictures on my next post) we went yesterday.

First she wanted to go to the garden where our wedding was.

After going back here, I am so happy we had the wedding here. This is such a beautiful, peaceful spot.

Easter 2009

Easter egg hunt at Grandma Missy & Jackets. Grandma bought camo eggs for Mason - they hid so well in the bushes, it made the hunt last longer! Plus there is still one egg hiding - Jack can't remember where he hid them all and no one can find it!!

My little brother has moved out on his own & is having withdrawls being an adult. He was sad he didn't have an easter basket, so he joined the kids in their egg hunt!

Maddie waiting for the Easter Egg Hunt at the Cottonwood Club.

Strike a pose. Maddie was so sweet, she went up to the Easter Bunny to thank him for the Basket he left her this morning.

All the eggs she found.

The mad dash for the eggs.

Maddie & Daddy walking by the pond. I thought this picture was so adorable!!

April Fools!

For April Fools we had "Berry Pie" for dinner and "Spaghetti & Meatballs" for dessert.

This was really meat pie with mashed potatoes on top. I got the pink coloring by blending up beets.

I made the spaghettie & meatballs with vanilla cupcakes. I put the frosting in a plastic baggie & squirted it to look like noodles. The 'meatball' is a Forerra Rocher hazelnut chocolate ball and strawberry jam for the sauce. They turned out pretty cute.

The Cruise

Wed. Feb. 4th, J.J. received a call from an associate inviting us on their company cruise. The catch: we had to be in Miami on Friday the 6th! With the help of family & a lot of scrambling - we were ready for a week long cruise in 2 days!! We went to the Western Caribbean, which is: Haiti, Jamaica, Grand Cayman & Cozumel.

Our ship, The Liberty of the Seas, is the largest cruise ship on the ocean. It holds 4,500 guests.
The beautiful sunsets we witnessed

J.J & I on the front of the ship. This was J.J.'s favorite place to come & think.

Formal Nights

THE FLOW RIDER:
This thing is crazy! It rushes 30,000 gallons of water through it at 30 MPH & you body board or surf it! Brian rented this for the group for private use 3 times. The 1st night it was 10:00 pm & too cold, I opted out. The next session was Wednesday @ 6:15. JJ & I decided we didn't want to make fools of ourselves, so we went to the public hours to get some practice in right before. Then on the last night we decided to sit out since we had to get packed & ready for dinner. We went up to watch and at the very end they let us do the stand up surfing. I had wanted to do that all week. Since we only had 15 minutes left - I jumped in with my clothes on! It was so worth it! The group was so competitive on this - everyone was out to master the barrel rolls, 360's, & standing up. This was the most fun on the ship!!

Hang 10!
We had so much fun this week - is there such a thing as too much fun? I now understand why people say 'I need a vacation from my vacation'. From alligators, to hiking waterfalls, to swimming with stingrays, to swimming with dolphins & attempting the flow rider - I think we deserve a rest!!!
